It all began with a spontaneous question: “What should we do with our spare room?”

That simple thought eventually led us to start offering home-based dog boarding in Singapore. We listed our services on Pawshake — a trusted platform that connects pet owners with reliable dog boarders and dog sitters in Singapore — and soon after, our very first guest arrived.

Our first furry friend was Goose, an adorable French Bulldog who visited during the November school holidays. He came for a one-night trial stay to make sure our home was the right fit, and soon returned for a 10-night dog boarding stay with us.

The first couple of days were a little challenging. Goose missed his family and needed time to adjust. But with patience, consistency, and lots of gentle reassurance, he slowly opened up. Within days, he became affectionate, playful, and comfortable around us — exactly what we hope every dog experiences when staying at Pawcation.

Because it was the school holidays, our eldest son spent lots of time playing with Goose. They bonded so well that they even took naps together — one of the sweetest sights in our dog boarding journey so far.

Since that first visit, Goose has come back two more times, including a 10-week long stay. He has truly become part of our extended Pawcation family, and we hope to welcome him again soon.
